Victorian 18kt yellow gold (hallmark: eagle's head) talisman signet ring set with a stunning yellowish green chalcedony's plaque, engraved with an arabic intaglio.
French Victorian work of the 19th century.
Weight: 6,70g
Height of the pattern: 2,30 cm
Finger size: 54 (diameter 17.25 / US 6.75).
Condition: slight wear of the set, slight oxidation, micro scratches, and bumps on the gold parts, natural inclusions in the chalcedony, see pictures.
The signet ring is a ring with a large plate on which a motif is engraved, which can be used as a seal to seal documents with wax. It could be either initials, a figurative intaglio, a coat of arms or, as in this case, inscriptions.
