Delicate 18kt yellow and pink gold Poissardes sleeper earrings (horse head hallmark), decorated with a finely chiseled floral motif.
Break-away system, loops pass through the back.
French work from the second half of the 19th century.

According to some sources, the name "poissardes" originated from the fish sellers who wore this kind of earrings in the 19th century.
Our model is composed of a mixture of yellow and pink gold, the latter being reputedly more flexible - it is said in jewelry that it has a "good memory" because it returns more easily to its initial shape after manipulation thanks to the copper which composes it - and thus lending itself more to the manipulation of the earrings.

All our jewellery is guaranteed for a period of one year from the date on your invoice. We will repair free of charge any manufacturing or other defect, provided that this defect is not related to the use made by the customer, nor to natural wear.
Can I change the size of a Penelope Gallery ring?
For any purchase, Galerie Pénélope offers you the possibility to change the size of your ring up to 5 sizes bigger or smaller (subject to feasibility).
