A superb 18kt yellow gold ring (hallmark: eagle head), with an old cut diamond weighing 1.33 Cts (colour I, clarity P1).
Diamond accompanied by its preliminary examination of the LFG (Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie).
French work, Victorian, 19th century.
Gross weight: 11.30g
Height of the motif: 0.90 cm
Finger size: 58 (diameter 18.50 / US 8.50).
State : very little scratches on the gold parts, visible on the pictures.
Concerning the maintenance of this old ring, the diamond and the gold supporting one as the other the high temperatures, it is possible to clean it to plunge it in boiling water with a little soap, and to rub it then with a toothbrush with fine hairs in order to eliminate the fatty substances with which the diamond presents a strong adhesion.
