Lovely vintage harem ring made of four rings in 14KT yellow gold (hallmark: scallop) set with turquoise cabochons. turquoise.
Work from the first part of the 20th century, certainly from Orient. Harem rings were created during the Ottoman Empire and we know how the Victorians were influenced by style and design from other countries.

Please note that the ring is large and therefore small, so it is more suitable for a finger size of 49.
State : very light scratches and oxidation on the gold parts, little scratches, oxidation, and natural inclusions on the stones and pearls, visible on the pictures.
The Harem ring, or Turkish ring, is said to have originated in the Ottoman Empire, where the Sultan gave his favourites an extra ring each year for their loyalty. It was brought back into fashion in the 19th century with the orientalist movement.

For any purchase, Galerie Pénélope offers you the possibility to change the size of your ring up to 5 sizes bigger or smaller (subject to feasibility).
