Platinum dome ring (hallmark: dog's head), set in its center with a cushion-cut diamond, weighing 1.57 cts, in a surround of 8x8 old-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh approx. 1.80 cts.
Central diamond accompanied by a certificate from the LFG (Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie) specifying: I color, VS2 clarity, medium luminescence.
Signed Mauboussin Paris, numbered, Circa 1950.

Finger size: 56 (diameter 17.75/ US 7.50).

Condition: very slight micro-scratches on the platinum parts, very slight abrasions on the diamonds, see photos.
The history of the Maison Mauboussin began in 1827, when Monsieur Rocher opened a jewelry workshop in Paris on rue Greneta. In 1869, his successor, Jean-Baptiste Noury, took over and renamed the workshop "Maison Noury".
A little later, Jean-Baptiste Noury hired his nephew Georges Mauboussin as an apprentice, who took over management of the workshops in 1883. Georges Mauboussin gave his name to the jewelry house in 1922: it became "Mauboussin, successeur de Noury", and moved to 20 Place Vendôme in 1946.

For any purchase, Galerie Pénélope offers you the possibility to change the size of your ring up to 5 sizes bigger or smaller (subject to feasibility).
